The news story is talking about the internet and mobile phones ownership and how they rose dramatically leading to thriving societies in each spot in the world.
In the past years, if you wanted a career in development you would have to be a teacher or a doctor or build dams. But now, the spread of the internet and the march of mobile phones have changed that all.
Nowadays, any one with a computer and internet connection could build an app in their bedroom that helps to improve lives of people around the world.
There is a story mentioned in this article which is about Brji Kothari, he was watching a Spanish movie and the subtitles were in English. An idea appeared to his mind, what if the subtitles were in Spanish too?
Turning attention to home, he wondered whether India could become literate if Bollywood made Hindi films with Hindi subtitles too.
The idea behind same language subtitles -SLS- was born, and million of children in primary schools are learning basic by watching their favorite T.V shows.
Summary
There are many more examples like this which have led to the development of mobile data collection tools, crowd sourcing services, solar lighting for maternity wards, or communications platforms for community healthcare workers – ideas which are collectively benefiting hundreds of millions of people.
Every thing begins from a simple idea, and with the development of media we can develop our ideas too and spread them out side the system to make a better life for the human and to make the world a better place.

This article is interesting! It is clear that new kind of forms are being made in terms of learning which could be more useful than conventional types. I think we actively need to use and apply a new platform to education with careful concerns about drawbacks of digital technologies, such as addicting to violent and raunchy programmes.
