Digital Media Age of Living Room -- Apple

"An increase in the use of digital devices means families are spending more time together in the same room - but doing separate things, according to an Ofcom report."


Nowadays, there are more than three types of Internet devices in the living room, rather than watching the same TV program and  share the same information in few years ago. 

 Maybe, we talk about the last night's TV program in few years ago, however, now, we can share the live football game together via social media, such as smartphone or Ipad. Why there are transition in living room because of the development of digital media.

 Author shares the information about what is the impacts of digital media. First, people can see the news quickly via the smaller phone on the hand and talk about the live sports game rather than last night's TV programs. Secondly, it is concurrent things when people are shopping online, also they can listen the music or watch TV. Finally, due to the music websites increasing, the radio listener has fallen gradually. 

 In my opinion, this change brings both sides of people's life. On the one hand, multiple-choice of media forms, such as smartphone, Internet and Ipad, is beneficial to individuals choice. For example, children would like to watch cartoon, housewife prefer to choose food program and man like to enjoy the football game. People can watch the different programs at the same time in living room. 

 On the other hand, however, the household budgets would be risen when people are endless using the digital media. I think except for increasing the average household spending, also causing the situation of inequality. When people who cannot afford extra fees of Internet device, they do not have opportunity  to receive information immediately. 

The influence of the digital media is far more than these, it is affect people's lives gradually.

    Digital media is becoming a kind of daily necessary. It not only brings some conveniences to our life, but also improves our life standard. However, people have to pay the more extra fee to keep their digital life which may become a kind of pressure sometimes. Therefore, in my view, digital media technologies have advantages as well as disadvantages.

    Although the Digital Media makes the life easier, it is not gathering the family as the old days.
